Though the construct depends on a number of unique factors associated with each organization, yet the lack of a universal definition makes it challenging for professionals to concur about what exactly they mean by organizational performance. This CQ Dossier summarizes the existing evidence about the financial, social, psychological, and operational aspects of organizational performance to arrive at a comprehensive definition and introduce interventions how to improve it. The economic performance looks at financial and market outcomes which assess the profits, sales, return on investment for shareholders, and other financial metrices. The operational performance, on the other hand, focuses on the observable indices like customer satisfaction and loyalty, the firm’s social capital, and competitive edge derived from capabilities and resources. It becomes critical to every organization to improve the appraisal methods in order to increase the productivity. The present study focuses on modern methodologies of performance appraisal with special reference to the most recently introduced “720 Degree performance appraisal.” It sheds some light on how the modern methods of appraisal are different from that of the traditional methods. The study is based on the Secondary sources of information obtained from Journals and website articles, in order to analyze the modern methodologies of performance appraisal, to focus mainly on 360 degree and 720 degree performance appraisal, and to differentiate between the traditional and modern methods of performance appraisal. By defeating the anti-incumbency tendency in the state, the 14th Punjab Vidhan elections, which were conducted in 2012, flipped the trend of the state\'s electoral politics history. For the second term in a row, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), the state\'s primary regional political party, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (SAD-BJP) coalition defeated the Congress Party. | Paper TitleINTEGRATED CHILD DEVELOPMENT SERVICES: ASSESSMENT OF AWARENESS AND KNOWLEDGE LEVELS OF ANGANWADI WORKERS IN NALGONDA ZONEAbstractIntegrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Program is India’s response to the challenge of meeting the holistic needs of children below six years of age, adolescent girls, as well as expectant and nursing mothers, through the network of Anganwadis. In this background, an attempt is made to assess the awareness levels and knowledge about ICDS of Anganwadi Workers of Nalgonda Zone, Telangana District, India. Eight Anganwadi Centers (AWCs) were selected from each of the five zones of Nalgonda district. Thus, a total of 40 AWCs were included in the present survey. Performance of each of the Anganwadi Workers (AWW) from the identified AWCs was assessed as per the ‘Form No. 1’of ICDS. Using simple statistical tools such as proportions and averages, the performance of various districts and various activities were analyzed and appropriate inferences were drawn. The researchers have concluded from the results obtained from the survey that 100% of AWWs of Nalgonda zone were very well aware about the ways and means of taking care of pregnant women and lactating women except those related Kangaroo Method Care (KMC), which is known only to only 10% of AWWs. All the surveyed AWWs had knowledge about infant feeding and family planning. However, only 72.5% of them have knowledge about the advantage of breast feeding and 80% of them about the referral services about children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. | Paper TitleBIJAPUR AND VIJAYANAGARA POLITICAL RELATIONSAbstractThis paper examines the intricate political and cultural relations between the Bijapur Sultanate and the Vijayanagara Empire in South India from the 14th to 17th centuries. Both empires frequently engaged in territorial conflicts, particularly over the fertile Raichur Doab region, but also interacted through trade and diplomacy. The study highlights key battles, such as the Battle of Talikota in 1565, which significantly weakened Vijayanagara but did not result in its immediate collapse. Cultural exchanges, temporary alliances, and religious tensions further shaped their relations. By analyzing these interactions, the paper provides insights into the factors that influenced both empires\' rise and eventual decline.
