Abstract

Businesses are facing a challenge to get maximum employee contribution and improve their performance. Profit, people and planet are considered core for the organization’s bottom line. People as human capital are the important asset of the organization where continuously engaging employees will increase financial, social and environmental performance. Organizations today are considering employee engagement as its unique business proposition for enhancing productivity and financial performance. A survey report by Blessing White states that in India engaged employees are 37%, disengaged employees are 12% and others are non-engaged. The managers have to focus on the non-engaged category through innovative HR practices. Employee engagement should be considered right from recruitment to retirement.

IMPACT OF ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING ON ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT IN IT SECTOR

Abstract

From the literature review, organizational learning, organizational commitment and work performance are positively related. In this paper we attempt to examine the relationship among the above variables using a sample of managers working in IT sector in Hyderabad. Organizational learning and organizational commitment were positively related to work performance. Organizational learning facilitates the employees to get updated with new technologies and make their work easy to perform. A continuous learning environment will make employees motivated and committed to achieve goals and improve performance.

STRESS MANAGEMENT AND COPING STRATEGIES IN THE BANKING SECTOR

Abstract

Today workplace stress is becoming a matter of concern for all the organizations. Banking sector is no more an exception. Workplace stress has emerged as a black plague in this present scenario. In India, banks are amongst top ten stressed work places. Despite of feeling relaxed with the advent of modern technology and innovations in the banking sector, employees are feeling overloaded with work and stressed out. With the advancement in technology, banks have to make rapid changes. It has become hard for employees to cope with these changes. And the result is stress. An attempt has been made to study the causes and effects of stress amongst bank employees. The ways to manage stress has also been suggested. Measures to overcome stress that affects the physical and mental wellbeing of employees are also suggested in the paper.
