AGRICULTURE CREDIT: IMPACT ON INCOME EXPENDITURE

Abstract

This study examines the impact of agriculture credit on income and expenditure in the agricultural sector. Access to credit is crucial for farmers to invest in inputs, technology, and other resources that can enhance productivity and ultimately affect their income and expenditure patterns. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis and qualitative insights from farmers. The quantitative analysis involves a survey of farmers in a selected region, collecting data on their access to agriculture credit, income levels, and expenditure patterns. Regression models are used to analyze the relationship between credit access and the farmers\' income and expenditure. Additionally, qualitative data is gathered through interviews and focus group discussions to understand the nuances of how credit influences farming practices and financial decisions. Preliminary findings suggest that farmers with better access to agriculture credit experience a positive impact on their income. This impact is not only linked to increased agricultural productivity but also to diversified income sources through the adoption of new technologies and practices. Furthermore, the study explores how credit influences farmers\' expenditure patterns, including investments in machinery, seeds, and other inputs. The research contributes to the existing literature by providing insights into the complex relationship between agriculture credit, income, and expenditure. Understanding these dynamics is essential for policymakers, financial institutions, and agricultural stakeholders to design effective credit programs that support sustainable agricultural development and improve the overall economic well-being of farmers.

EVOLUTION OF CENTRE-STATE RELATIONS IN INDIA

Abstract

The history of inter-governmental relations is not good. After independence, Nehru’s policies depended on party support and interests, and as Indira Gandhi’s power grew she strengthened international relations through the establishment of ‘states and communities in the 1970s.’ to do Freedom and international relations. With the advent of the era of cooperation in the 1990s, the relationship between the great powers changed from cooperation to cooperation. Amendments to Articles 73 and 74 of the Constitution have changed the jurisdiction of these areas and created equality of relations, rights and fundamental freedoms. Efforts have been made to strengthen cooperation in other areas such as National Reforms Commission, Rajmanar Commission, Sarkaria Commission and Punchi Commission. However, these benefits are not absolute. First, the federal government ignored the commission’s recommendations, and second, the commission considered the government’s cooperation. So the Punch government and the judiciary did not respond to the CBI action and decided to use force. Speaking about the Sarkaria government, Amal Ray said the issues raised are not different but because of the roles of various opposition parties, ministers and the structure of the planning committee.

REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS AS HUMAN RIGHTS: A CONCEPTUAL STUDY

Abstract

This study examines the sexual politics of the Manusmriti, an ancient legal literature in India, from the perspective of women\'s sexual and reproductive health rights. The text, translated into English by Wendy Doniger and Brian K. Smith, denies women rights to marriage, contraception, divorce, and bodily integrity. Women are often depicted as secretive, crafty, promiscuous, and objectified, leading to a devaluation and objectification of their bodies. The findings highlight the need for a human rights and gender perspective on religious and cultural texts. This study explores the definition, significance, nature, and extent of reproductive rights, highlighting their importance and availability before and after India\'s independence. It examines the exercise of reproductive rights under various laws, including the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, 1971, Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994, and provisions relating to miscarriage under the Indian Penal Code, 1860. The study also examines the boundaries of reproductive rights in the context of assisted reproductive technologies like surrogacy.

Digital awareness or digital literacy is the prerequisite for the survival and success in 21st century. Digital awareness is not limited to occupation or area or income. Due to the quick spread of digitalization, it has also the life of rural people of India. Yet, due to various factors namely, unavailability of network, lack of digital knowledge and financial resources, unawareness about the technology etc., an important part of the rural population is still resisting in adopting the various subsidies of digitalization. In the present study, the researcher tries to find out the factors behind the level of digital awareness among the rural population of India. Digital literacy is incredibly important in rural India for several reasons. First and foremost, it can provide access to valuable information and resources that may not be readily available in remote areas. This can include educational materials, healthcare information, and agricultural resources, among others. Additionally, digital literacy can open up economic opportunities for individuals in rural areas. It can enable them to access online marketplaces, financial services, and remote work opportunities, which can help improve their livelihoods. Furthermore, digital literacy can facilitate communication and connectivity, allowing people in rural India to stay connected with the broader world, access government services, and participates in civic engagement.
