DEVELOPMENT AND CHARACTERIZATION OF MIRTAZAPINE FAST DISSOLVING TABLETS

Abstract

Despite significant innovation in the area of formulation, the oral route remains the most favored and recognized method for administration of therapeutic agents because it provides precise dosage, cheap production costs, self-medication, a non-invasive approach, and simplicity of administration. Geriatric individuals have a variety of physiological and neurological changes as they age, including difficulties swallowing/dysphagia, memory loss, vision loss, hand tremors, hearing loss, choking risk, and changes in taste and smell. Dysphagia has been linked to a variety of medical illnesses, including stroke, Parkinson\'s disease, AIDS, thyroid surgery, head and neck radiation treatment, and other neurological disorders such as cerebral palsy. Furthermore, individuals who have little or no access to water find it challenging to use orally given traditional pills or capsules.

This is only one popular route for systemic effects due to its ease of, pain, ingestion, escaping, versatility and most prominently, patient compliance. Oral delivery products do not require sterility conditions and are therefore, they are not expensive to production.

INVITRO EVALUATION OF TRIAMCINOLONE BUCCAL TABLETS - A STUDY

Abstract

Regulated drug release in “first order manner attained in the current study indicates that the hydrophilic matrix tablets” of-Triamcinolone was prepared using HPMC K4M, HPMC K100M and HPMC K15M “can successfully be employed as a buccoadhesive controlled released during delivery system.” Slow, controlled and complete release of-Triamcinolone over a period of-12 hours was obtained from matrix tablets formulated employing HPMC K4M (TR2 Formulation) with 98.56 % drug release.

Generally, fresh herbs are delicately flavoured, so if adding them to your cooking, do so in the last few minutes. Tasting your dish as you go along will help you tell if you’ve added enough. If not enough herbs are used, then little difference will be made to the flavour of the dish, but if too many herbs are added, their flavour will overpower other ingredients.
