FLOATING DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM ITS IMPORTANCE
Recent technological and scientific research has been devoted to the development of rate controlled drug delivery systems to overcome physiological adversities such as short gastric residence times and unpredictable gastric emptying times. The concept behind the development of novel delivery system in certain drawback of conventional dosages form and to overcome the certain aspect related to physicochemical properties of drug molecule and related the formulation development. Controlled release floating drug delivery system is a promising delivery system for a drug candidate having limited absorption window sparingly soluble and insoluble drugs, drugs those locally release in stomach and shows degradability in colon or poor colonic absorption. Floating drug delivery system comes under a gastro retentive drug delivery system that provides continuous controlled administration of sparingly soluble drugs at the absorption site. This review entitled the detailed scenario related to floating drug delivery system with their advantages over the conventional drug delivery system and also limitation, which are helpful in development of dosages form.
SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF CORILAGIN, GALLIC ACID AND ELLAGIC ACID BY HPTLC METHOD
A simple, fast and precise high performance Thin layer chromatographic method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of corilagin, gallic acid and ellagic acid. Usi1223ng Silica gel 60 F254s HPTLC plates, optimized solvent system of n-butanol:water:Methanol:Formic acid (6:1:0.1:0.8; v/v/v/v) in a twin trough chamber saturated for 30 min. Validation was carried out by testing its specificity, linearity (300-1300 ng/spot), precision (1.36%, 0.83% and 0.81 %), limits of detection (53.37ng/spot, 50.03ng/spot & 59.29ng/spot) and quantification (161.74ng/spot, 151.61ng/spot & 179.67ng/spot) for corilagin, gallic acid & ellagic acid respectively.

NANOTECHNOLOGY IN CANCER PREVENTION, DETECTION AND TREATMENT
US national cancer institute has recognized that nanotechnology offers extra ordinary paradigm changing opportunity to make significant advances in cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment. We know that everything around us is made up of atomic and molecular matter and all our problems are ultimately rooted in atomic and molecular arrangements. Nanotechnology is the exciting multidisciplinary field that involves the design and engineering of nano objects or nanotools 500 nanometer. It has at least provided a way for us to rearrange and reconstruct matter on an atomic scale, allowing us to reach down to the very root of any problem faced by the researched field of medicine such as Cancer and HIV.
Nanotechnology, the manipulation of matter on an atomic, molecular and supra molecular scale has led to the development of many new nanoscale platforms including Quantum dots, Dendrimers, Diamondoids, Carbon nanotubes and Liposomes .These innovative and ingenious atomic scale solutions allow us to develop amazingly complex and effective weapons against the ailment. The focus of this paper is cancer, which is one of the most widely researched disease in today’s medical and scientific community .The purpose of this paper is to discuss some of the most recent and innovative solutions that have been made possible by the advent of nanotechnology.
SYNTHESIS AND STUDY OF A NOVEL HOMOLOGOUS SERIES 4 -(4′-N-ALKOXY BENZOYLOXY) Β- PHENOXY ETHYL BENZOATES
Novel homologous series 4 -(4′-n-alkoxy benzoyloxy) β- Phenoxy Ethyl Benzoatesconsisted of eleven homologues. Methyloxy to propyloxy homologues do not show any mesomorphic behavior, while; the rest of the homologues show mesomorphic behavior. Octyloxy to tetradecyloxy homologues exhibit smectogenic and nematogenic characteristic, while butyloxy, pentyloxy, hexyloxy and hexadecyloxy homologue exhibit only nematogenic characteristics. Transition temperatures of homologues as observed and determined by hot stage polarizing microscope are proportional to number of carbon atoms in n-alkyl chain of left n-alkoxy terminal end group. Odd-even effect doesn’t observe for smectic-nematic and nematic-isotropic transition curves showing phase behavior of a series. Smectic and nematic thermal stabilities are 187.2˚C and 200.1˚ C respectively. Analytical data support the structures of the homologue molecules. A texture of nematic mesophase is threaded or schlieren type and that of a smectic phase is of smectic-A type. Liquid crystal properties of a series are compared with an another structurally similar isomeric homologous series. Smectic mesophase lengths vary from 4.0˚C (C14)to 10.0˚C (C10 ) and nematic mesophase lengths vary from 4.0˚C (C4) to 14.0˚C (C6) with middle ordered melting type.

STUDY OF QUALITY OF LIFE OF PATIENTS WITH RENAL CALCULI
Kidney stones are responsible for about 3.66 million medical consults each year with treatment costing about $2 billion annually in medical bills. The main objective of the study was to analyze the quality of life of patients by existing renal calculi. The study would be focused on providing better therapeutic, cost-effective and safe treatment in renal calculi patients. The study was conducted in a urology department of Medcity Multi-Super Speciality Hospitals (400 bedded hospital), Medchal, Hyderabad, India. This study was conducted on 80 patients to study the quality of life of patients with renal calculi for the duration of 5 months and collected information from patients from 20-80 years of age. Divided the patient in different age groups, male-female, alcoholic-non alcoholic, working-nonworking, vegetarian-non vegetarian, married-unmarried and concluded that smoking, alcoholism etc. adversely affects the quality of life of patients of renal calculi. Moreover, vegetarian diet may also indirectly help to improve the quality life of the patients with renal calculi. Finally, it was found that, if the patient leads hygienic and disciplined life quality of such patients will be somewhat better.
