| Paper TitleA STUDY ON MENTAL STATE AND MENTAL HEALTH OF SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERSAbstractSince ancient times, teaching has been regarded as one of the finest professions. Teachers\' beliefs and professional concerns with the work have forcefully changed as a result of the changing socio-economic reality and increased unemployment, negatively impacting their mental health. A teacher\'s mental health has been discovered to be influenced by a variety of personal and professional obligations.
Teachers\' health, in terms of social, physical, and mental health, improves not only their professional growth and development, but also their personality. Furthermore, they have been seen as the architects of a country\'s future. Taking these factors into account, the current research sought to determine the degree of personal mental health among school instructors, especially those employed in public schools. The data was collected using the survey technique and the Mental Health Index.
The research involved 100 secondary and upper secondary school instructors. The data was evaluated using descriptive analysis, and a t-test was used to determine gender and geographical differences. The t-values suggest that there are considerable gender disparities among government school instructors, with male school teachers doing better than female counterparts in terms of mental health. Furthermore, teachers assigned to schools in urban regions were shown to have better mental health than instructors assigned to schools in rural areas.

| Paper TitleLIFE AND ITS IRONY: A STUDY ON SOMERSET MAUGHAM’S SHORT STORY “THE ANT AND THE GRASSHOPPER”Abstract Hard work gives a lot of experience, skill, and builds a path to success. But sometimes luck plays a critical role instead of hard but very rare. The fight between luck and hard work cannot be limited to reaching the goal but to survive even after success. In Modern times, the respect and value is given as per the economic position of the people but not bases on the values that the people follow. Society does not care for means of success. Somerset Maugham’s short story “The Ant and the Grasshopper” presents the darker side of life which discloses the drastic changes that take place in the minds of people regarding life. However, the fable ‘industry is rewarded and giddiness is punished’ will not work out in this imperfect world. There is a strict correlation between luck and success where a series of lucky events were responsible for incredible success ever if the individual hard work is less. The story stands for such an example in the life of George and Tom with its irony. KEYWORDS : Experience, Irony, Hard work, Luck, success, Skill.

ANALYSIS OF THE FOREIGNER\'S THEMATIC ISSUES BY ARUN JOSHI

| Paper TitleANALYSIS OF THE FOREIGNER\'S THEMATIC ISSUES BY ARUN JOSHIAbstractThe British formerly looked down on Indo-Anglican literature or Indian English literature, but it has since made sporadic literary incursions and gained recognition as a well-liked genre of Modern English literature. Those who have not lived in this country or among its people but have read works by Indian authors may barely hope to appreciate their quality and unique style.
In contrast to other writers, Arun Joshi is a very unique writer who explores themes of human suffering in practically all of his works. The overarching and most notable quest in all of his writings is seeking a clear sense of purpose and direction in life. Joshi\'s works demonstrate how existentialists like Camus and Sartre have inspired him. Existentialism is a contemporary philosophical movement that deals with \"man\'s\" disillusionment and hopelessness and was inspired by the intellectual and literary works of Albert Camus and Jean Paul Sartre. The principal topics of \"The Foreigner,\" Arun Joshi\'s first book, are the subject of the current study, which is a critical view.
