A SURVEY ON DATA MINING WITH BIG DATA

Abstract

Big data concern huge quantity, complex, rising data sets with different, autonomous sources. With the short development of networking, data storage, and collectively the data assortment capability, large data are presently quickly increasing altogether science and engineering realms, aboard physical, biological and medicines sciences. This paper presents a HACE theorem that characterizes the alternatives of the big data revolution, and proposes an enormous method model, from the data mining perspective. This data driven representation involves demand driven aggregation of data sources, mining and analysis, user concern planning, and security and isolation issues. We have an inclination to research the strong problems within the data-driven model and in addition within the big data revolution.

DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF CIRCULAR AND SQUARE ARM ROBOT

Abstract

An articulated robot is a robot with rotary joints (e.g. a legged robot or an industrial robot). Articulated robots can range from simple two-jointed structures to systems with 10 or more interacting joints. They are powered by a variety of means, including motors. Some types of robots, such as robotic arms, can be articulated or non-articulated; an articulated robot is a robot which is fitted with rotary joints. Rotary joints allow a full range of motion, as they rotate through multiple planes (x, y, z directions) and rotary motions also.
In this project by using CAD-tool (creo-2) we created 2 different robots. One is circular arm robot and another is square shape arm robot models and analysed with real time boundary conditions with 3 different materials (steel, al-356, ARAMID epoxy). And calculated results of deformation and stress, and shear stress and strain values for both models. From all these results here we are going to conclude which material has less weight and which material has fewer amounts of stress values. From all these results we can get an idea which robot with which material we should use for different conditions like less weight or less stress producing robots.

A SURVEY ON GEOPOLYMER CONCRETE AT ELEVATED TEMPERATURE AND AGAINST AGGRESSIVE CHEMICAL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract

The present paper reports result of an experimental program conducted to study the behavior of M-30 grade of concrete at elevated temperature on the basis of physical appearance, weight loss and residual compressive strength test. The concrete cubes(M-30) of 150×150×150 mm were cast with a ratio of 1:1.26:2.8 by weight. Three cubeswere tested for compressive strength at the age of 7 days and 28 days by universal testing machine. Then the specimen were subjected to the elevated temperature 200o c, 400o c, 600o c, 800o c and 1000o c in an electric air heated muffle and after cooling were tested for the compressive strength. Six cubes were immersed in each solution of sodium sulphate, sulfuric acid, and sodium chloride for 30 days and 60 days. The testreveal the properties of M-30 concrete and its applicability at elevated temperature and against aggressive environment such as acid attack, sulphate attack and chloride attack

A SURVEY ON EMPLOYMENT OF BAGASSE ASH AS A FRACTIONAL AUXILIARY OF FINE AGGREGATE IN CONCRETE

Abstract

This paper presents the use of sugarcane bagasse ash (SCBA) as a pozzolanic material for producing highstrength concrete. The utilization of industrial and agricultural waste produced by industrial processes has been the focus on waste reduction. Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) is partially replaced with finely sugarcane bagasse ash. In this research physical characteristics, chemical combination (XRF test), TG-DTA were investigated and compared with cement.The concrete mixtures, in part, are replaced with 0%, 10%,15%, 20%,25% and 30% of BA respectively. In addition, the compressive strength, the flexural strength, the split tensile tests were determined. The bagasse ash was sieved through No. 600 sieve. The mix design used for making the concrete specimens was based on previous research work from literature. The water –cement ratios varied from 0.44 to 0.63. The tests were performed at 7, 28,56 and 90 days of age in order to evaluate the effects of the addition SCBA on the concrete. The test result indicate that the strength of concrete increase up to 15% SCBA replacement with cement.

DESIGN & THERMAL ANALYSIS OF CERAMIC LAYERED PISTON

Abstract

A piston is a disc which reciprocates within a cylinder. It is either moved by the fluid or it moves the fluid which enters the cylinder. The main function of the piston of an IC engine is to receive the impulse from the expanding gas and to transmit the energy to the crankshaft through the connecting rod. The piston must also disperse a large amount of heat from the combustion chamber to the cylinder walls. Cast iron, Aluminium Alloy and Cast Steel etc. are the common materials used for piston of an Internal Combustion Engine. In this project here we were taken steel is an existing material and aluminium is another material.The material used is Aluminium Alloy and steel are used to determine the good material for manufacture of the piston here we analyze the two materials with the help of fem. In order to get better results here we are adding 0.4mm ceramic layer for both material and analysed with same boundary conditions. And calculating results like deformation, stress, safety factor. And total temperature and heat flux also.
The main objective piston is investigate and analyze the thermal stress distribution of piston at the real engine condition during combustion process, in this process we applied temperature and convection as boundary conditions and we determining total temperature on the body, total heat flux values.

COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN & ANALYSIS OF CRANKSHAFT FOR 4S-S.I ENGINE USING FINITE ELEMENT METHOD

Abstract

In this project we designed and analyzed a crankshaft of 4-stroke S.I engine using “Ansys”, which is software that works on the basis of finite element method.
Firstly, we created a solid model of the crankshaft using designing software “CATIA”. Then the model is imported into Ansys and analyzed by applying necessary conditions, which were considered in designing it and then checked for the strength and life. The specifications required for the design are taken from the drafted design.
The results were found in the analysis of the crankshaft, the design is found out to produce more stresses and some modifications were done to the design and again it is analyzed and the stresses developed were lesser when compared to the previous design.
The engine, which is used, is a four-stroke S.I engine. It is a twin cylinder multi utility engine. It is a horizontal shaft engine. The cylinder volume of the engine is 196cc and it is used in cold countries for snow cutting purpose. It is also used for grass cutting.

OPTIMIZATION OF FORMULATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF BEETROOT FORTIFIED IDLI AND ITS PHYSICO-CHEMICAL CHARACTERIZATION

Abstract

Idli is one of the most important balanced breakfast foods in India and the other countries. The present study was undertaken to determine the enhancement of nutritional value of idli by fortification of beetroot in idli batter. Idli were prepared from rice and black gram the ratio 3:1 was constant and fortification of beetroot at 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% after fermentation. The developed idli were analyzed for physicochemical properties, organoleptic evaluation and nutritive value of the idli. The result revealed that 15% fortification of beetroot was accepted in the terms of sensory evaluation and nutritional value would make it as a complete balanced breakfast food for all age groups of people.

This is the design of a small-scale working model hovercraft which providing fully hovercraft basic functions. Basically the hovercraft design and fabrication process is quite similar to boat, ship, or aircraft design. In this report, I had made the entire analysis requirement, formulas for thrust and lift, drag components calculation and other important parameters to realization the design of the working model hovercraft. On the other hand, this report is aim to provided objective and scope of the research, the literature review study, research methodology, and fem analysis on hybrid joint structures of the model with result analysis and conclusion as part of requirement in submitted the report. Although hovercraft research and development is still new technology and no domestic consumption in this technology, but through this project it can help the industry a step further. It is because this project can categorized as successful and working as expected.

Abstract

Fat replacer is substance that takes the place of all or some of the fat in a food and yet gives the food a taste, texture, and mouth-feel similar to the original full-fat food. Fat replacers serve two purposes. They reduced the amount of fat in food product, and they usually reduce the calorie content of the food. Fat replacers are carbohydrate based, protein based, fat based. Consumers have directed their interest towards reduced or low-fat food products as they associate them with a reduced risk of obesity and CHD. Weight conscious people are adopting these fat replacers very quickly. As a result, more and more consumers are making it their goal to reduce overall dietary fat in their diet. The health risks are no longer challenged.

DESIGN AND SIMULATION OF PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING PROCESS BY USING ANSYS

Abstract

This paper presents the design and simulations of plastic injection mould for producing a plastic products. The plastic part was designed into two different types of product, but in the same usage function. One half is exploitation clip function and another half is exploitation tick function. Within the Computer-Aided designing (CAD), 2 plastic parts were drawn in three completely different dimensional views (3D) by exploitation SIEMENS eight.0 parametric software. Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM), DELCAM 12.0 software was used to develop the simulations in machining program. For mould design, the product was designed into two changeable inserts to produce two different types of plastic product in one mould base. Before proceeding to injection machine and mould design, this part was analyzed and simulated by using ANSYS 15.0. From the analysis and simulation we can define the most suitable injection location, material temperature and pressure for injection.

BUCKLING ANALYSIS OF SWCNT REINFORCED COMPOSITE PLATE

Abstract

This work presents the buckling analysis of functionally graded single walled carbon nano tubes reinforced composite plates under in-plane mechanical loads. The effective material properties of uniformly distributed carbon nano tubes are obtained using Mori–Tanaka approach and extended rule of mixtures. The buckling load has been obtained numerically with the help of commercial finite element package ANSYS using ANSYS parametric design language code. The convergence behaviour of the developed model has been checked and validated by comparing the responses with that available literature. Effect of different geometrical parameters such as aspect ratio and side to thickness ratio have been studies and discussed in details.

FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS OF MULTI POINT CUTTING TOOL

Abstract

In this paper, temperature at tool-tip interface is determined, generated in high-speed machining operations. Specifically, three different analyses are comparing to an experimental measurement of temperature in a machining process at slow speed, medium speed and at high speed. In order to compare to experimental results produced as part of this study. Four flute and two flute micro end mills are modeled and analyses are done. Later a comparison between the two cuttings tools is observed. Multi point cutting tool has been solid modeled by using CAD Modeler Siemens 8.0 and FEA carried out by using ANSYS Workbench 14.5.

MODELING AND DYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF WIND TURBINE BLADE

Abstract

In the present work, the first stage rotor blade off the gas turbine has been analyzed for the mechanical and radial elongations resulting from the tangential, axial and centrifugal forces. The gas forces namely tangential, axial were determined by constructing velocity triangles at inlet and exit of rotor blades. The convective heat transfer coefficients were calculated using the heat transfer empirical relations taken from the heat transfer design data book. After containing the temperature distribution, the rotor blade was then analyzed for the combined mechanical and thermal stresses. The radial elongations in the blade were also evaluated.
The turbine blade along with the groove is considered for the static, thermal, modal analysis. The blade is modeled with the 3D-Solid Brick element. The geometric model of the blade profile is generated with splines and extruded to get a solid model. The first stage rotor blade of a two stage gas turbine has been analyzed for structural, thermal and modal analysis using Finite Element Analysis software. The thermal boundary condition such as convectional and operating temperatures on the rotor blade is obtained by theoretical modeling.
And finally the results are obtained within the safe limit of the gas turbine blade

THERMAL MODELING AND ANALYSIS OF CARBIDE TOOLS USING FINITE ELEMENTS

Abstract

The problem of tool wear monitoring in machining operations, has been an active area of research for quite a long time. The accurate prediction of tool wear is important to have a better product quality and dimensional accuracy. In cutting tools the area close to the tool tip is the most important region and conditions at the tool tip must be carefully examined, if improvements in tool performance are to be achieved
The present work involves the study of tool wear caused by the change in hardness of single point cutting tool for a turning operation to predict the tool life in orthogonal cutting based on the heat transfer analysis using Finite Element Method (FEM). The Experiments were performed with EN-24 steel as work piece and Carbide uncoated tool bit as a tool material and the flank wear has been measured experimentally. An empirical relation is used to determine temperature at tool-tip and further Finite Element Method is used to determine the distribution of temperature over the surface of tool and its impact on hardness which is related by an empirical relations.
The study shows the effect of Modified temperature due to strain rate on carbide tool to describe the thermal softening of tool material and becomes prone to wear. The results reveal that by increasing process variables in machining the wear and temperature increases causing thermal softening of tool causing it to wear.
The results obtained have been verified with the available results from literature for the variation of wear with the temperature and thermal softening of carbide tool. The results prescribed demonstrate the significance of cutting parameters (speed, feed and depth of cut) in thermal analysis for study of the cutting tool wear.

COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF SWING JAW PLATE OF JAW

Abstract

Traditionally, stiffness of swing plates has not been varied with changes in rock strength. Rock strength has only been of interest because of the need to know the maximum force exerted by the toggle for energy considerations. Thus a swing plate, stiff enough to crush taconite with an unconfined compressive strength of up to 308 MPa, may be overdesigned (and, most importantly, overweight) for crushing a softer fragmental limestone, amphibolites. Design of lighter weight jaw crushers will require a more precise accounting of the stresses and deflections in the crushing plates than is available with traditional techniques. Efforts to decrease energy consumed in crushing have lead to consideration of decreasing the weight of the swing plate of jaw crushers for easily crushed material. In the present work the design of the swing jaw plate using point-load deformation failure (PDF) relationships along with interactive failure of rock particles as a model for such a weight reduction. The design of the corrugated swing jaw plate is carried out by using CAD i.e. jaw crusher plate has been solid modeled by using CERO.. Finite Element Analysis of jaw plates are carried out by using ANSYS software.The computerized program facilitates for quick design of the plates of the jaw crusher. The different comparisons with and without ribs of swing jaw plates are analyzed.

FINITE ELEMENT MODELING & ANALYSIS OF NANO COMPOSITE AIRFOIL STRUCTURE

Abstract

An airfoil or aerofoil is the cross-sectional shape of a wing or blade of a turbine, rotor or propeller. An aerodynamic force is produced when an airfoil moves through a fluid. These forces are the very reason of lift produced in an aircraft or to produce a downward force on an automobile to improve traction. The efficiency of an airfoil is characterized mainly on its profile section and its aerodynamic design. In the present study a NACA 2412 AIRFOIL model is selected and analyzed. The material used for the analysis of airfoil is Nano composite, because of its unique and better mechanical properties than the conventional materials. Nano composites are the materials which consist of two or more constituents combined at a Nano scale regime in such a manner that it gives improved properties (such as elastic, damping, wear and corrosion resistant etc.) as compared to other conventional materials. In the present study, free vibration and static structural analyses are cared out in order to investigate the effect of carbon nanotube content on the static and dynamic responses of NACA 2412 aero foils.
The effective elastic properties of carbon Nano tube based Nano-composites are determined using Halpin Tsai model where carbon Nano tubes are assumed to be uniformly distributed and randomly oriented through the matrix. The properties thus obtained are used for further analysis. NACA 2412 airfoil profile was taken from readily available database and point clouds was imported to Solid works in order to make 3D model. The solid model thus generated used in ANSYS to perform free vibration analysis. To find the lift and drag forces that the airfoil generates are found from computational fluid dynamics module available in ANSYS work bench. Finally the calculated lift and drag forces are utilized to perform static structural analysis. Several parameters such as total deformation, equivalent stresses and shear stresses are measured for different carbon Nano tube content, airflow rate, and orientation of the airfoil. Increase in elastic properties is seen with increase in volume fraction of CNT in Nano composite. From the study it is also observed that the natural frequency on the Nano composite increases with increase in the percentage of carbon Nano tubes with a drastic decrease in deflection.

VIBRATION ANALYSIS OF FUNCTIONALLY GRADED NANO COMPOSITE AIRFOIL STRUCTURE

Abstract

The present work deals with the free vibration analysis and buckling behavior of functionally graded Nano composite conical shell structures reinforced with carbon nanotubes. The effective material properties of the functionally graded Nano composite shell structures are obtained using the extended rule of mixture by using UD and some functionally graded distribution of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) in the thickness direction of the shell. In this study the Nano composite is forming by mixing SWCNTs as reinforced phase with the polymer as matrix phase and makes a superior quality Nano composite material at Nano scale level with some extraordinary material properties which provides advanced performance and service level. A suitable finite element model of functionally graded conical shell structure is developed using the ANSYS parametric design language (APDL) code in ANSYS environment. The model has been discretized using an eight nodded shell element. The solution is obtained for fundamental natural frequencies and deformation of the composite shell. The effects of various geometric parameters, CNT volume fraction, boundary conditions and material properties are presented and discussed.

THERMO-MECHANICAL STRESS ANALYSIS FUNCTIONALLY GRADED TAPERED SHAFT SYSTEM BY USING ANSYS

Abstract

Present work deals with the study of stresses developed in tapered functionally graded (FG) shaft system under both thermal and mechanical environment for three nodded beam element by using Timoshenko beam theory. The temperature distribution in radial direction is assumed based on one dimensional steady state temperature field by Fourier heat conduction equation without considering heat generation. Temperature dependent material properties are varied along the radial direction using power law gradation. Tapered FG shaft consists of rigid disk attached at its centre and shaft is mounted on two flexible bearings acts as spring and damper, inner radius of the tapered shaft is varying in x direction keeping thickness of hollow tapered shaft is constant. For the present analysis the Mixture of Stainless steel (SUS304) and Aluminium oxide (Al2O3) are considered as inner and outer surface material of the FG shaft. Three dimensional constitutive relations are derived based on first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) for Timoshenko beam element considering rotary inertia, strain and kinetic energy of shaft and gyroscopic effect. In present study, structural and hysteretic damping is incorporated. Hamilton’s principle is used to derive governing equation of motion for three nodded beam element for six degree of freedom per node. Complete MATLB code is generated and shows that temperature field and power law gradient index have important part on material properties. Comparative study is carried out for Stainless steel and FG tapered shaft, shows that stress developed in FG shaft is comparatively lower than Steel shaft. Various results are obtained for coupled and uncoupled environment. Transient stress is obtained for varying power law index value and speed as a parameter. Stress amplitude increases for increase in speed and power law index. Results achieved for FG shaft shows advantages over steel shaft. The work extends to optimise for better results by using advanced simulation software ANSYS 14.0 workbench. Comparison results are tabulated and optimised results are interpreted for future extension.

A STUDY ON INTEGRITY VERIFICATION SCHEME OF COMPLETENESS AND ZERO-KNOWLEDGE FOR MULTI-CLOUD STORAGE

Abstract

In order to resist the attacks from the malicious cloud service providers (CSPs) and organizer, an integrity verification scheme of completeness and zero-knowledge for multi-cloud is proposed. Firstly, we adopt an interactive proof of system to verify the integrity of customer data. Secondly, the change of file blocks is recorded and the hash value of each block is generated through the index-hash table (IHT) in the verification process. Finally, the hash value of each block is updated through this IHT to support dynamic updates to user’s data. Compared with the original scheme, this scheme can resist the malicious attacks and reduce the computation communication costs; it can realize the dynamic update of data and has the properties of completeness, reliability and zero knowledge. Experimental results also show that this scheme can resist the malicious attacks and reduce the computation communication costs. Provable data possession (PDP) is a technique for ensuring the integrity of data in storage outsourcing. In this paper, we address the construction of an efficient PDP scheme for distributed cloud storage to support the scalability of service and data migration, in which we consider the existence of multiple cloud service providers to cooperatively store and maintain the clients’ data. We present a cooperative PDP (CPDP) scheme based on homomorphic verifiable response and hash index hierarchy. We prove the security of our scheme based on multiprover zero-knowledge proof system, which can satisfy completeness, knowledge soundness, and zero-knowledge properties. In addition, we articulate performance optimization mechanisms for our scheme, and in particular present an efficient method for selecting optimal parameter values to minimize the computation costs of clients and storage service providers. Our experiments show that our solution introduces lower computation and communication overheads in comparison with noncooperative approaches.

POWER ENHANCEMENT BY ADOPTING ACTIVE POWER FILTER SCHEME WITH PI BASED ONE CYCLE CONTROL UNDER GRID DISTORTIONS

Abstract

Distribution line consists of a range of loads which are both linear and nonlinear, due to these nonlinear loads a harmonic current is developed at the source current which leads to detrimental disturbances, aging effect, poor power factor, lower efficiency. Using active power filter is one of the viable solutions to eliminate power line harmonic currents generated by nonlinear loads and to improve the power factor. APF is operated in dual boost convertor mode with constant switching frequency by using one cycle control method. The advantages of going for this type of control are it requires source current only and voltage as reference. And flip flops are used to generate the pulse signal to the convertor which is connected in parallel with the distribution system. The inverter will provide phase shifting current. This phase shifted current is helpful in injecting and cancelling out the harmonic current and to achieve three phase unit power factor for the current to and from the power grid. A DC capacitor is intended which acts as a source to the converter. In order to reduce the error and to produce firing signal, PI controller is used .

Cloud offering some services like IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service) and SaaS(Software as a Service) etc where it can control storage and share data securely with reduced cost thus sensitive personal Health records should be encrypted before outsource onto cloud for the sake of patient data privacy. As our existing system we noticed some of the privacy challenges over multi-keyword search from the cloud server. i.e patient revocation and lack of encryption scheme over index structure. In this paper we proposed a novel policy for patient revocation for avoiding patient revocation issues for dynamic updation over encrypted Health records by an authority i.e Trusted Key manager(TKM) which manages keys by Diffie Hellman Algorithms: This algorithm is basically used to generate keys,and Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-based Encryption (CP-ABE) is regarded as one of the most suitable technologies for data access control in cloud storage systems, because it gives the PHR owner more direct control on access policies and does not require the PHR to distribute keys. In CP-ABE scheme, there is an authority (TKM) that is responsible for key management. The PHR Owner defines the access policies and encrypts data under the policies using SHA-1. Each patient will be issued a secret key according to its attributes. A Patient can decrypt the ciphertext only when its attributes satisfy the access policies under the fine grained approach scheme.

Hence security for web application is major concerned and mostly is divided into two types one is client based or internal security and another one is server side or external security so in this paper we reviewed various types of security attacks and how they are threat to the web applications same way our review based on two categories static based and dynamic based review. And in order to aware or visible all kinds of vulnerabilities and security for web application an online community is developed called as Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) using this developers and companies can make assessment about security for web applications.

A SCHEMATIC APPROACH ON PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF AIR CONDITIONER FOR AUTOMOTIVE APPLICATION

Abstract

In this paper, the operation features of automotive air conditioning are all performed. The main aim of the study is to evaluate the performance automotive air conditioning (AAC) system theoretically and experimentally. The operation of automobile air-conditioning system is powered by the turning of RPM engine. The changes of spinning at low and high rate will provide substantial impact to the machine. This project introduces mathematical modelling and evaluation computer simulation of electrical ac systems together with the four standard elements composed of compressor, condenser, evaporator and expansion valve.Aluminum 204, 1100 and 6063 materials is used for condenser. This air conditioning system will probably use a condenser using five sliding vanes. ANSYS simulation model was developed and the consequences of system functionality are signalled by condenser rate, pressure ratios are assessed.

Abstract

Rapid industrialization has increased competition in the market and it has become troublesome for the industries (especially for small scale industries) to persist with this kind of modern industrialization. Just-in Time system has been defined and identified worldwide by many researchers and practitioners for world class manufacturing. This system has been accepted as a systematic approach to achieve competitiveness and excellence in manufacturing by many researchers and practitioners in many countries in last three decades. This system has potential to compete in the present scenario of rapid development and growth of industrialization. This paper presents the spread of JIT movement, concepts, objectives, elements, benefits, implementation and motivation of JIT system. In order to survive in the market an enterprise should produce a good quality product which can be affordable to common man within a specific span of time. Management of time is of an immense importance for any enterprise or industry as it can accomplish more with minimum efforts. To overcome numerous problems Just-in-Time can be introduced to an enterprise. Just-In-Time deals with the production of any item after the order from consumer and not to produce items before the need or in advance.
