Paper Title

TEACHING AS AN INTER-SYSTEM TRANSFER AND LEARNING AS AN INTRA-SYSTEM PROCESSING

Abstract

Conventionally the Teaching and Learning process refers to the teacher and the taught (student) in a class room of schools or colleges. Essentially it involves interactions of human beings who have the attribute of intelligence with the objective of human resource development; knowledge is the principal monitored factor to be imparted and acquired in the process. Human conscious effort is involved in the overall increase in the body of knowledge. No particular conservation principle is applicable on the amount of knowledge. A teacher transfers information which the student acquires; and the knowledge content increase has no bounded limit. However, transfer of information is alluded to in communication systems with well specified transmitter and receiver and the systems do not seem to become knowledgeable. In the context of the topic of Artificial Intelligence, the term “teaching” seems to be more frequent than the term “learning”. In order to disentangle artificial and natural processes related to teaching and learning a concept diagrammatic approach could be better.

DEGRADATION OF DYE BY ADVANCED OXIDATION PROCESSES

Abstract

The presence of extremely refractory organic matter, dyes and organic compounds in the wastewater stream, the use of conventional wastewater treatment methods are increasingly become challenged. Sonophotocatalysis can improve the performance of advance oxidation process based on the synergic effect of photocatalysis and sonolysis for the degradation of organic and inorganic contaminants in aqueous streams. The basic reaction mechanism for both sonolysis as well as photocatalysis is the generation of free radicals and subsequent attack by these on the pollutant organic species. If the UV light (Photocatalysis) and ultrasound (Sonolysis) are operated in combination, more number of free radicals will be available for the reaction thereby increasing the rates of reaction. The novel method developed in present work is useful for intensification of degradation of dye pollutant.

ANTI BACTERIAL ACTIVITY ON GRAM POSITIVE AND GRAM NEGATIVE BACTERIA USING GUAVA

Abstract

To determine the anti bacterial potential activity of guava( psidium guajava) leaf extracts against gram positive(staphylococcus aureus) and negative bacteria (E.coli) using methanol and isopropanol extracts showed inhibitory action. Only gram positive bacteria are susceptible to the two extracts, while other gram negative bacteria showed zone of inhibition. Major constituents in guava is quercetin, rich in flavonoids. In preliminary phyto chemical screening, the crude extracts gave the positive reactions for alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins. Significant of anti-bacterial activity was found by the extract of (isopropanol, methanol) of guava leaf extracts. It shows anti bacterial, anti diarrhoeal, anti spasmodic, anti inflammatory activity.

A QUASI EXPERIMENTAL STUDY TO ASSESS THE EFFECTIVENESS REGARDING BODY MECHANICS AMONG SCHOOL CHILDREN

Abstract

The motivations behind this pilot think about where to look at the working position of centre school youngsters amid their media/innovation class, test understudy’s learning of sound figuring propensities, and assess the adequacy of school kids. Low back agony (LBP) is a typical musculoskeletal issue which is for the most part connected with the ergonomically mistaken working conditions. In this way the motivation behind this investigation was to survey the mindfulness about back care disciplines among secondary school kids in Kandy zone, Sri Lanka. A cross sectional examination was directed in Kandy zone, Sri Lanka to contemplate the mindfulness about back care disciplines among secondary school level Sinhala medium science understudies. 815 High school level Sinhala medium science understudies age between 17-18 years were asked for to finish a 13 thing poll comprised of pictures identified with right and wrong back orders in different day by day exercises. Out of 815, 776 understudies were finished and restore the survey with the reaction rate of 95.2%. 70% of the understudies were uninformed about the right back train while washing fabrics physically and the greater part of the understudies (52%) were ignorant about right rucksack conveying discipline. Moreover 77% of the respondents were unconscious about the right resting technique for side lying stance with head upheld by a cushion. The holes in mindfulness with respect to back care trains in day by day exercises of standing, dozing conveying rucksack and conveying a weight are existed among the secondary school level understudies and more incorporated educating in regards to this should be presented.

A REVIEW ON EFFECTS OF GENITAL TUBERCULOSIS IN FEMALES

Abstract

The dismalness and mortality because of tuberculosis (TB) is high around the world, and the weight of ailment among ladies is noteworthy, particularly in creating nations. Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacilli achieve the genital tract principally by haematogenous spread and scattering from foci outside the genitalia with lungs as the normal essential core interest. Genital TB in females is a ceaseless sickness with poor quality side effects. The fallopian tubes are influenced in all instances of genital TB, and alongside endometrial association, it causes barrenness in patients. Numerous ladies give atypical indications which imitate other gynecological conditions. A mix of examinations is expected to set up the determination of female genital TB (FGTB). Multidrug hostile to TB treatment is the backbone of administration and surgery might be required in cutting edge cases. Origination rates are low among fruitless ladies with genital TB even after multidrug treatment for TB, and the danger of inconveniences, for example, ectopic pregnancy and unsuccessful labor is high. More research is required on the changing patterns in the commonness and on the suitable techniques for analysis of FGTB.

CLINICAL TESTING OF GENETIC VARIATION THAT GIVES RISE TO DIFFERING RESPONSE TO DRUGS

Abstract

The effect of variation in genes coding for drug targets and for the enzymes involved in drug metabolism has highlighted the genetic component of drug response. Drug response can be likened to a complex, multifactorial genetic trait, and the study of its genetic variation, termed pharmgenetics, is analogous to the study of complex genetic disease in terms of the questions posed and the analytical possibilities. A single human genome was a monumental effort a decade ago, more than one thousand genomes have now been sequenced. The task ahead lies in transforming this information into personalized treatment strategies that are tailored to the unique genetics of each individual. One important aspect of personalized medicine is patient-to-patient variation in drug response. Pharmacogenomics addresses this issue by seeking to identify genetic contributors to human variation in drug efficacy and toxicityGenetic approaches used to analyze rare and common adverse effects as well as variability in efficacy are first presented. The challenges and potential solutions to incorporating this body of knowledge into contemporary medical practice are then discussed.

NEED OF BIOPOLYMERS AND APPLICATIONS OF POLYHYDROXYBUTYRATE(PHB): A SHORT REVIEW

Abstract

The current review focuses on the need of biopolymers which has gained a significant role in recent years as they are naturally occurring, biodegradable, temperature resistant, ecofriendly, durable, biocompatible compared to the synthetic polymers which has many drawbacks. Among many biopolymers the polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) a representive of polyhydroxyalkanoates has many applications in various fields such as medicine, agriculture, pharmacy, foor processing and packing and industry etc.,
